Digitalization of customs transit: stamps are moving to electronic format
This innovation is an important step towards the complete digitalization of the procedure.
As of July 1, 2026, Belarusian carriers are no longer required to obtain official stamps in shipping documents when processing customs transit.
At departmental customs clearance points and designated locations, physical stamps are no longer placed on CMR waybills and other shipping documents.
Now, key information about the release of goods is recorded exclusively in the customs information system.
Carriers can independently obtain information about the status of their cargo through specialized software installed at customs clearance points. Simply enter the vehicle registration number.
Important exceptions. Paper stamps are retained for:
- the movement of vehicles for personal use under their own power;
- military goods;
- technical failures in the customs information system.
To complete the transit procedure at the destination, the driver must still present the transit declaration registration number and the standard package of commercial documents for the cargo.
